We win digital DM services supplier of the year!

We've just come back from the Connect Awards 2007...

The reason? Well DMG were up for the “Digital direct marketing services supplier of the year” against OgilvyOne Worldwide. And we only went and won it! Quite rightly of course, but a great result against a quality network.

Along with our sister agencies, we’ve produced some great work for clients like Panasonic and the AA and this is the what the judges had to say:

“As the lines between direct and digital become increasingly blurred, those businesses that manage to blend both displines to best effect, where digital channels are being powered by DM thinking, are likely to reap the benefits. Though Digital Marketing Group was formed last year, judges were impressed with the concept of a conglomerate of DM and digital companies that co-operate to mutual benefit.

Founder member agencies HSM, Inbox Digital, and direct agency Dig For Fire were joined this year by Jaywing and Cheeze. Examples of co-operation include work for the AA where they use Cheeze for online media, Inbox Digital for online communications and HSM for telesales. The group introduced innovations such as Digital Brain, a digital and direct platform that uses analytics of online and offline data to create personalised brand communications, and Noize, an online PR arm that draws on talents from Cheeze, Dig For Fire and Inbox Digital.

Clients such as Powergen and Lloyds TSB Insurance Service praised the group for its quality of thinking and analytics expertise.

The group’s success this year has been reflected most clearly in its market value. When it floated on AIM, its share price was 57p, but by June 2007 the price had risen to 123.5p.”

Gary Stevens, CEO of HSM commented, “This is clear evidence that what we set out to do last year is now being recognised at the very highest level. We’re delighted to have won this award and it spurs us to achieve even more in the future.”

Graphico and Hyperlaunch join our group

Digital Marketing Group plc- Acquisitions of Graphico & Hyperlaunch for £12.1m

Digital Marketing Group plc (AIM: DIGI), the digital direct marketing group, is today pleased to announce the acquisitions of the entire share capital of Graphico New Media (“Graphico”), a successful full service creative digital agency with skills in mobile marketing and Hyperlaunch New Media (“Hyperlaunch”), an award-winning digital creative marketing agency. Digital Marketing Group is paying a maximum consideration of £8.6m for Graphico and a maximum consideration of £3.5m for Hyperlaunch. The acquisitions will be funded via a combination of existing cash resources, loan notes, bank facilities, and shares in Digital Marketing Group. Adjustments to consideration are in place in relation to agreed minimum net asset balance sheet positions retained by the businesses.

The acquisitions reaffirm the Group’s ‘buy and build’ strategy of acquiring companies that have activities in ‘online’ marketing, ‘offline’ direct marketing and database marketing. Graphico and Hyperlaunch are both digital marketing specialists which complement the Group’s existing businesses and broaden its digital direct marketing offering, client and product base.

Commenting on the acquisitions, Ben Langdon, Digital Marketing Group plc’s Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted to announce the completion of these acquisitions. The businesses will bring new expertise and skills into the Group and complement further our specialist digital marketing offering. We look forward to welcoming them into the Group and working together to develop and create one of UK’s leading digital direct marketing groups.”

Check out our new home

We loved our old office but there comes a time when you realise that you have grown up and need to move out. And haven’t we done well!

Not only do we now have loads of space to grow even more, our new home won Best Large Office at the FX Magazine International Interior Design Awards in 2000. It ‘s got lots of amazing features, including a huge curved glass wall the whole length of the building, a unique “green” ventilation system that draws cool air off of the adjoining lake and even “restrooms” made entirely of black marble – no wonder the British press once described it as the happiest workplace in Britain. We love it!

Here are a few pictures to help you get a feel for our new home but in order to truly appreciate its impact, you really need to experience it.
